  • record the date when the asbestos was identified
  • record the location, type and condition of the asbestos

The asbestos management plan should:

  • Identify the location of asbestos naturally occurring or not.

  • Include decisions and reasons about the management of asbestos at the workplace.

  • Outline procedures regarding incidents and emergencies concerning asbestos, including who is responsible for what.

  • Be maintained using up-to-date information, and be evaluated at least every five years or when requested by a health and safety representative, or when work has been done with or to the asbestos.

  • Always be accessible to any worker as well as PCBU who has carried out or intends to carry out work at business, and any health and safety representatives who represent workers in the business.
